It comes to the next challenge - Wireframing. I have chosen Treatwell. Treatwell is the largest hair and beauty bookings platform in Europe, which allows you to book beauty services at times and prices that suit you, and gives you all the style know-how you need to look and feel amazing.

I have chosen Treatwell for this challenge because it will allow me to implement the wireframing concept along with different flows and details. Another reason maybe, how long have I left my hair untreated? So here it is.

The Challenge

I have to create a wireframe version of the user flow of Treatwell App based on at least 5 screenshots or high-fidelity prototype screens of the App. The final product should be a simple (at least) 5 screens’ interactive prototype.

I have chosen the following screens for this challenge:

Here are the user flows of the chosen screens:

  • After getting your location, you can click to explore the services in the App.
  • It brings you to the main content where you can select various services, or just search for your desired service or salon.
  • If you choose a haircut, you will be able to further choose which haircut you want, e.g. men’s cut, ladies’ cut, children’s cut, and hair dye… etc.
  • When ladies’ cut is chosen, it will show your nearest available salon and the relevant services in this salon.
  • Still under ladies’ cut, you will choose further details (long or short hair) which will also finalize the price. After that, you can check the availability to have the service.
  • Finally, you will be choosing the date and time you want.

I have created the wireframe version for the screens below:

Finally, the prototype is put together!

Experience gained from the challenge

Wireframing does give the outline of how the product will look like in the very first place. It was not a quick process for me to be honest, but when it was done, I feel that it really gives a simple and clear picture as to how to design will look like, without the “ability” to sidetrack the focus or influence the decisions. It is very important for making this detailed App which contains so much information from one place to another.

I have enjoyed that I have created this finally, during which I have learned from the creation!
